Two-voice Darija dialogue: generate each turn, then assemble it
Build a six-turn Moroccan Darija training dialogue with Omar and Hala. Keep roles, voice selections and versioned files aligned, then assemble and review the conversation in an external editor.
1. Fix the cast and the training objective
Two voices can help distinguish a customer’s question from a staff member’s response. This retail-staff exercise has a simple goal: check an option, offer an alternative and let the customer choose. It is original and fictional, not a real customer exchange or a claim about a real shop’s stock.
Use Hala for the customer and Omar for the staff member throughout. Both selections use Moroccan Darija (ar-ma). Generate each turn separately and assemble the dialogue in an external editor; this is not a native multi-speaker export.
2. Save the complete six-turn script
Save this as dialogue-script-v01.txt. Numbering, roles, voice IDs and English meanings are reference notes; paste only the Darija sentence into the speech input.
- 01 · Customer / Hala: «السلام عليكم، واش عندكم هاد الكناش بالزرق؟» — Hello, do you have this notebook in blue?
- 02 · Staff / Omar: «وعليكم السلام. خلّيني نشوف الألوان اللي كاينة.» — Hello. Let me check which colours are available.
- 03 · Customer / Hala: «وإلا ما كانش الزرق، شنو كاين؟» — If blue is unavailable, what is there?
- 04 · Staff / Omar: «كاين الخضر. بغيتي تشوفيه قبل ما تختاري؟» — There is green. Would you like to see it before choosing?
- 05 · Customer / Hala: «إييه، ورّيني الخضر من فضلك.» — Yes, show me the green one, please.
- 06 · Staff / Omar: «تفضلي. خدي راحتك فالاختيار.» — Here you are. Take your time choosing.
3. Listen to the existing recordings, then test your lines
These are Omar’s and Hala’s existing public demos of two different shop scripts. They are not recordings of this dialogue or a same-text comparison. Listen for a possible role fit; neither recording guarantees the accent, delivery or consistency of newly generated lines.
Hala’s demo mentions delivery to all cities. That is fictional shop copy, not a FasihTTS offer or a claim about your business.

Before every generation, check the role, ar-ma dialect and selected voice. Hala is ar-ma-hala-female-2; Omar is ar-ma-darija-male-2. Keep direction notes such as “curious” or “calm reply” in your production sheet, not the spoken text.
Use the filename stems below with the downloaded file’s actual extension. Keep replacements as v02, v03 and so on rather than overwriting earlier takes. Record the chosen filename beside each turn in the full script; version the script too when wording changes.
01 | Hala | 01_customer_hala_v01
02 | Omar | 02_staff_omar_v01
03 | Hala | 03_customer_hala_v01
04 | Omar | 04_staff_omar_v01
05 | Hala | 05_customer_hala_v01
06 | Omar | 06_staff_omar_v015. Assemble manually and audit every handoff
Import the six selected files into an audio or video editor in order. Set pauses there, adjust distracting level differences and listen across every join. Separate generations may differ in delivery; trimming alone cannot guarantee a seamless conversation.
- Wrong voice on 03? Regenerate that customer line with Hala; renaming the file does not fix the speaker.
- Two copies of 04, or no 05? Compare the timeline with all six script IDs, not just the export’s duration.
- Review the finished export against the script again. Keep the editor project, source takes and final version together.
6. Review the Darija and choose the usage terms
Ask a Moroccan listener to review wording, pronunciation, politeness and whether the replies sound appropriate together. Fix unclear lines and recheck their neighbouring turns. Two voice selections do not guarantee a perfect accent or consistent performance.
